Late Christmas Card

When I was doing my Christmas cards, I ended up being short a few cards. With family coming and everything that was going on, I didn't get them finished up until today. This is a very simple card to make. The snowflake is from the Seasonal Icons that goes with the level Holiday Happenings Bundle. The greeting is from Many Merry Messages. The DSP is also from the Holiday Happenings Bundle and then I added some Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon. The background is Old Olive card-stock.

This same stamp set and DSP can also be used for other occasion cards.

A Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card that I made for one of my granddaughters. I had seen some daisies done from the Scallop Circle and wanted to see if I could do them. But after I finally figured out how to get them clipped the right way, I decided to try something a little different. I added a vellum Scallop Circle behind each one. I used Itty Bitty Backgrounds to make the dots on the flower centers. I really liked the way it made the center of the flower looked better. The leaves were really easy, too. I punched out a Small Oval, clipped the end to make it more of a point and then used a bone folder to dry emboss the leaf veins. I also used the Itty Bitty Backgrounds on the card bacground. The colors used are So Saffron, More Mustard, Garden Green and Whisper White. My granddaughter loved her birthday card.

A Fun Christmas Card

This is a fun card to make. I had volunteered to make samples for a "mystery pattern challenge" for a group that I belong to. It was for making a wreath. After making the wreath, we could then do whatever we wanted with them. For this one, I chose to make a card with it. I stamped little stars on it and embossed them. Then I wrapped some gold cord around the wreath and attached it to the front of my card.

A Simple Christmas Card

The other day I needed to make several Christmas cards but didn't have a lot of time to spend on them.I took the idea that I had for a differenct card and simplified it. Instead of a very complicated star, I did the simple star which is done using both Stampin' Up! star punches.  This card also uses paper from the I Wish Simply Scrappin' Kit. The greeting is from Many Merry Messages. The star is Brushed Gold card-stock and Whisper White card-stock.

Eastern Blooms Card

I'm not one who usually likes to spend the time to cut out an image by hand. But I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. I have seen so many cards done with images that have been cut out by hand and they are beautiful. The large blossom was stamped with Perfect Plum and then cut out. I punched 1/2" circle from More Mustard card-stock and put little white dots with the Uni-ball Gel pen. For the leaves, I used the 5-Petal punch and punched a couple petals out of a strip of green from the Bella Rose DSP. I had a Pirouette Pink frame left over from something else and decided that I wanted to us it in a different way this time. So I cut out a pink piece from the Bella Rose DSP with the Top Note Bigz die and put the two together on my card. The greeting is from Sincere Salutations. I was quite pleased with the way this card came out.

Another Simple Card

Here is another very simple card to make. All it takes is the Scallop Edge punch, some tearing and some Bella Rose DSP. The Bella Rose really makes the card look more elegant. This was a card that a made up to send to a friend recently. As you can see, a card doesn't have to be complicated to look elegant. And it doesn't have to take a lot of time to make to show that you care.

A Simple Card to Make

I'm one who hates to waste things. When I tear a strip of paper, I hate to throw away the pieces I tore off because maybe I can use them on something else. So here's a card where I did just that. The torn strips are from the last scrapbook class I did.

I love the new Hodge Podge Hardware that Stampin' Up! sells and I love the Very Vanilla set. I stamped the sentiment with Pumpkin Pie ink and then punched it out with the Designer Label punch to use with the Very Vanilla Hodge Podge Hardware. The hardware really helps it to stand out.

The flower tags were done with the Organic Grace Hostess set stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink and punched out with the 1-3/8" Circle punch and layered onto the Scallop Circle.

This was a very quick and simple card to make.

Send a Card to a Friend

I was trying to come up with some ideas for cards that I wanted to send out to some friends and this was one of the cards I made. For this card, I used the Eastern Blooms stamp set to make the branch, the Trio Flowers punch for the flowers and the 1/4" circle punch and Eastern Blooms for the flower centers. I did run the It's Beautiful jumbo wheel over the background with VersaMark ink and I sponged the Whisper White top note wit Night of Navy ink. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.
