Stamping With Juanita

April Card Class - Card #5

This is another CASEd card from my Card Class this month. I also found this one in the Sudsol Gallery. The background is Apricot Appeal CS. I used the It's Beautiful Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel to stamp VersaMark Ink onto the piece of Only Orange CS. I really love the crimping in the middle of the Certainly Celery CS. The greeting is from the Thank You Kindly stamp set stamped with Old Olive ink. Then a piece of Only Orange 1/2 inch Striped Grosgrain Ribbon was tied around that piece of card-stock.  Using the Heartfelt Thanks stamp set, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Only Orange and Old Olive markers, the flower was stamped on Whisper White CS and layered onto a piece of Only Orange CS. The class attendees really liked learning how to do the crimping in the middle of the card-stock.

April Card Class - Card #4

This was a fun card to make and is another CASE. The background is Old Olive CS. The Basic Black CS was run through the Big Shot with the Backgrounds I Texturz Plates. Then a piece of Raspberry Tart DSP and a piece of Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon were layered on top of that. I took another piece of the Raspberry Tart DSP and covered it with VersaMark ink and embossed it with Iridescent Ice EP. I then ran it through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and attached it to the card. The greeting is from Sincere Salutations stamp set and stamped with Black Stazon ink. See! Very quick and easy to make.

April Card Class - Card #3

I CASEd this card from the Sudsol Gallery. I don't remember who made it. I did make a minor change to it though. This card is made using Basic Black, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink CS. The stamp sets used are Eastern Blooms and Thank You KindlyI. The blossoms and greeting on the Whisper White are stamped with Basic Black and Pretty in Pink Classic Ink. The flowers on the Pretty in Pink CS were stamped with the White Stazon. For some reason, my White Stazon never looks white. I probably should have just used the VersaMark ink pad instead. I really loved how cute this card looks. To used a larger greeting, the center would need to be cut a little larger. But I was trying to use up some of my current scraps.

Easy Manhattan Flower Card - Class Card #2

I really love the NEW Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions folder and I have seen some great things done with it. The idea for this card came from samples that I had seen from the Late Night Stampers group. The folder was run through the Big Shot with some White Vellum and then I cut around the top part of the flowers. The greeting is from Sincere Salutations stamp set. The vellum is attached with a couple of Mini-Glue Dots along the left edge to a piece of Rose Red CS. Then a piece of Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon was added to the left side. This is another simple but elegant card to make. I really love the look of this card.

April Card Class - Card #1

This is the first of the cards we made at the Card Class this month. It is a really simple but elegant card. The background is Garden Green CS with Night of Navy and Whisper White CS layered on top of it. The stamp set used was Baroque Motifs. I love this set but don't use it as much as I would like to, mainly because I have a hard time coming up with ideas for it. This idea came from a card that I saw in the Sudsol card gallery. This one is stamped with Night of Navy and Garden Green ink. A piece of Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon was added to it along the side. It doesn't show up in the photo, but the center of the flowers is finished with some glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to give it some pizzazz. Everyone loved how simple it was to make but looked so beautiful.

Late Night Stamper's Challenge #15

 

The challenge for this week is to make something with 3-D flowers on it. For my card, I used Whisper White as the background and ran it through the Big Shot with the Texture Plates Kit #4. Then a layered a piece of DSP from the Love Stories Simply Scrappin Kit on top of that. I cut out some flowers with the Flower Blossom Sizzlits die from Pretty in Pink CS. The flower centers are punched out of Barely Banana and Summer Sun with the Boho Blossoms punch. Then the finishing touch on the flowers is brads from the Earth Elements brads. The greeting is stamped from the Oval All stamp set from the NEW Occasions Mini Catalog. I stamped with the Black Staz-on ink and then used the Watercolor Wonder Crayons to give it some color. I then punched it out with the Oval Punch. The tag background is punched out of Barely Banana CS with the NEW Scallop Oval Punch, also in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I did finish the tag up with some dots on the scallops with the Barely Banana marker. I love flowers and this card gave me a chance to make something with flowers.

Stickers- Hoppy Memories Simply Scrappin' Kit, I used Crystal Effects on the turtle and frogs to make the details pop up.

A Cute Frog Page

I really love this page that Andrea made. She used the Hoppy Memories Simply Scappin' Kit for this page. On the pieces of DSP on the sides, she put some Crystal Effects to emphasize the dots. Along the bottom of the page are two of the ribbon stickers from the kit. The swirl at the bottom of the two photo frames is cut from Whisper White with the Swirly Decorative Strip die and the Big Shot. The swirl is also emphasized with Crystal Effects. The photo frames are So Saffron CS, run through the Big Shot with the Backgrounds I Texturz Plate. The tag on the page is a quote from Full of Life stamp set, stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White CS. This is then layered onto Only Orange CS that has the edges torn. Then this is layered onto three strips of Tempting Turquoise CS that is sponged with Chocolate Chip ink. All of the little pieces, the frog, lilypad, journal block and the circle with the frog, are from the Hoppy Memories SS Kit. Andrea did add two gold brads on the journal block.

Now that I've seen what Andrea has done with this kit, I may have to gt it myself, lol.
