Thursday Color Challenge #2

Here's this week's Color Challenge to help get your MOJO working. This is Color Challenge #2.

Here's is what I did with these colors. I've decided to do a scrapbook page for my sample this time. As you can see, I used My Digital Studio to make my page. I really love the fact that you can resize the punches to whatever size you want.

Now let's see what you can make with these colors.  You are free to make a card, a scrapbook page or even a 3-D project. Just use these colors. You may also use neutral colors. After you make you item for the challenge, please post your link here so everyone can see what you've made.

 

Sudsol's Chat & Challenge 238

I don't get to join the Chat & Challenge on Sudsol very often, but when I do it's a lot of fun. I was able to join it the other day and this is the card that I made.

As you can see, I did some experimenting in My Digital Studio. I used the 5-Petal Flower Punch to make the flowers, but then I added some lines to give them a little more detail so they wouldn't look so plain. To add the lines, I added an Oval Punch, gave it the color I wanted and then shrunk it down so that it was very, very thin and quite a bit shorter. Once I got one the way I wanted, then I placed it where I wanted it. I then copied, pasted and rotated it to get it ready for the next petal. The DSP, the flower center and the leaves are all from My Sweet Pea Designer Kit.

Thursday Color Challenge - NEW!

I've decided to start doing a weekly Color Challenge for you to help get your MOJO working. So to start out Color Challenge #1, here are the colors for you to use.

You can do a scrapbook page, a card or a 3-D project. We would love to see what you can create with these colors. You can use neutral colors also, such as white or vanilla. Here's what I created with these colors.

So get your creating hats on and lets see what you can do. We would love to see your creation. If you have a blog, post it to your blog and share the link here. If you don't have a blog, email me your creation and I will post it for you along with your name.

Theme Challenge 3

I've joined a site called Soul Scrappers and one of the challenges for this week was a theme challenge. We were to make a page where the theme was "All about ________." It could be about whatever we chose and we could use as many photos as we wanted and whatever layout we wanted.

Here are the pages that I did for the challenge. I haven't been doing very well at getting any scrapbooking done lately. So this was a perfect opportunity to get something done. It also gave me the chance to do some pages with the pictures of our pups that I've been meaning to get done for a while, too.

These pages were done in My Digital Studio. I love the fact that you can use any font installed on your computer for your text. The little dog stamps are from the stamp set Man's Best Friend and the background is from My Sweet Pea Designer Kit.

February's Stamp Club Projects

This was a fun card that we made at our last Stamp Club. My class members learned how to do the Emboss Resist technique. I had seen a card that someone on Sudsol did with this technique and using this stamp set and it was so lovely. It was the inspiration for this card. My class members also love the way it gave this card an antique look. The stamp set used is Vintage Vogue.

And since it still isn't Valentine's Day yet, I decided to make this cute little Valentine door hanger. The heart is made with the Petal Card Bigz Die. The two bottom sections of the front and back are folded up and glued to the bottom section of the box,which is just a strip of Real Red CS. I have seen some really cute projects done with this die and I'm hoping to share some of them with you here in the  future.

Now here comes my favorite part of each workshop or club meeting. The scrapbook page.

This is the 6x6 portion of the page that everyone did. We used the NEW Extra Large Two-step Bird Punch and the NEW Scallop Trim Border Punch. Everyone really loves these new punches. And the heart is from the Heart to Heart Punch.

I learned how to make these flower buds from Jackie Topa. It is done using the Extra Large Two-step Bird Punch. Aren't they so cute? I used the Scallop Trim Corner Punch on the small photo blocks. I love this border punch and corner punch. They look so elegant.

The flower in the top left of this page is also done from the wings of the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch. It is from the same post of Jackie's. She is so inventive when it comes to using punches and I get lots of great ideas from her.

Sudsol Sketch Challenge #19

I really love the New Sweet Pea DSP and kit that are now available for My Digital Studio. The papers add such a variety to the possibilities for our projects. Even the felt embellishments add to the projects, too.

This sketch was another very simple sketch to work with. I had a lot of fun putting this card together. I just wish I had more opportunities to send out all of these different cards that I've been making, especially since I do love making them. Another thing I really love about My Digital Studio is that I don't have to worry about not having enough of a certain DSP or of running out of ribbons or brads, etc. And there's no waste of my materials, either.

Purple and Yellow Challenge

This last week's Sudsol Design Challenge was to use purple and yellow in our creation. For the background layer, which is Summer Sun, I used the Elegant Bouquet Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions die. I used the Square Scallop die to cut the Perfect Plum layer and then used Texture Plates Kit #4. Then I used the Beautiful Wings Stampin' Up! Embosslit to cut out the butterflies. The tag is stamped with the Great Friend stamp set and cut with the Matchbox Bigz XL Die.

Another CASE Challenge

I made this card for the current Sudsol CASE Challenge. This is a very simple card that I made with My Digital Studio. The stamp set that was used on this card is Nursery Necessities.

Sudsol's Chat & Challenge 223

I haven't been able to get into my stamping room much the last few weeks because it has become our guest room. So I used My Digital Studio for this challenge. Plus, I really wanted to use my new Sweet Pea DSP that I got for My Digital Studio. I also really like the new Textured Card-stock that is available for download, too.

The sketch is a very simple sketch but has so many possibilities. For this card, besides the Sweet Pea DSP, I also used the Simple Friendship stamp set for the butterfly and the greeting.

Stampin' Up! has also released some Corduroy Buttons and Sending Love Epoxy Brads for My Digital Studio.
