May's Scrapbook Class Pages cont

It took longer to post these than I had meant. There's been so much going on the last few days with my daughter and granddaughters here. So here are the rest of the pages from last month's Scrapbook Class.

 

All of the pages from the class used Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. These two also used Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White CS. The dies used were Daisies #2, Beautiful Butterflies, and Beautiful Wings along with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The background was sponged with Rich Razzleberry ink.

The small flowers on these pages were made with the Two-Step Bird Punch. The large flower was made using the Scallop Circle #2 die, the Circle Scissors Plus and the Small Oval Punch. I really love the way the Crushed Curry ribbon added to the page.

The background on these pages is the Confetti White CS and the pansies are made using the Two-Step Bird Punch and the Simple Flower Embosslit. The center of the pansies was colored using the Yoyo Yellow ink, then Barely Banana and Lavender Lace markers. They were also sponged with the Lavender Lace ink. I loved they way they came out.

These flowers were made using the 5-Petal Flower Punch, the Fancy Flower Punch and the Two-Step Bird Punch for the leaves. We crumpled up the flowers and then straightened them out some and put them together with a brad. The final touch was to spray them with the Gold Smooch Spritz Spray to give them a little shine. I used the Word Window Punch to make the journalling tags for the pages.

May's Scrapbook Class Pages

It's taken me a while to get these posted because we've been pretty busy with tiling our basement after it flooded. So this week I had a chance to finish them up with photos and journalling. So here are the first two pages from last month's Scrapbook Class.

I wanted a way to use the Lattice Die for these pages, so I took a 4" strip of the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP cut it into squares and ran all of the squares through the Big Shot with the Lattice Die. Then I laid them out so that the pattern matched up. Then I reversed the cut out lattices and matched them up to the cut-out section of the squares. There is a piece of Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon along the edges of the DSP. The flowers are cut out with the Daisies #2 Die and the leaves are cut out with the Oval Punch and run through the Crimper.

I used the Square Lattice Texture Folder on the photo mats and the title block. Then I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit to give the flower centers some texture. The flowers on the tag are from the Level 3 Hostess set Playful Pieces.

Punch Art Card Class Projects

For our last card class, we did punch art. All of these cards are CASEd from other demonstrators. The ladies had asked for cards that were more geared towards kids than what we had been doing in the past. So I chose ones that could be used for either adults or kids, since some of them don't have little children that they give cards to.

This first card was inspired by Jackie Topa. This was definitely the most time consuming card of the bunch. But i just loved the card when I first saw it. This card uses the Boho Blossoms, Oval, Word Window, Small Oval, Ticket Corner and the retired Key Tag and 1/4" Circle punches. The greeting is from Whimsical Words, which was a Sale-a-Bration set. The umbrella was cut out using the Circle Scissor Plus and the edge was trimmed with the 3/4" Circle punch.

This cute little card was inspired by Amanda Coughlin. I knew we needed a card that could be used for little boys, since most of them seem to be more feminine. The hearts with done with the Heart to Heart Punch. The Full Heart punch was for the train car with the 3/4" Circle Punch for the wheels. For the engine, the 1" and 3/4" Circle punches were used for the wheels and the top of the engine was cut the the Circle Scissors Plus. The rest of the engine is just some rectangle pieces of card-stock.

I'm afraid I don't know who the creator of this card was. But I just thought the little butterfly was so cute. The body is made with several 3/4" Circle, while the wings were stamped with I {Heart} Hearts then punched with the Full Heart punch. The eyes and antennae were done with the Basic Black marker. I can't wait to give this card to someone for their birthday.

 

Like the previous card, I don't remember who did this one originally. The stem of the cherry is a very, very thin piece of Chocolate Chip card-stock that has been distressed with the distressing tool in the Cutter Kit. The Unibal White Gel Pen and some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter were the final touches to the cherry. This card also gave everyone a chance to use the Crimper, which we haven't used for quite some time.

February's Scrapbook Class Pages

For last month's Scrapbook Class, I decided to use Sending Love DSP. I loved the glitter look on the papers. Here are the pages that we made.

On these two pages, we used the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and Beautiful Wings Embosslit. For the center of the large butterflies, we used the Sending Love Epoxy Brads. Then for the edge of the photo mats and the tag background, we used the Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punches. You can see the shine of the glitter in these photos if you click on them to see the larger version of them.

On these pages, you can't see the glitter on the DSP, but it makes it looks gorgeous. The Scallop Trim Border Punch was used for the top border and the Pinking Hearts Border Punch was used on the photo mats. Sending Love Epoxy Brads are used on the center of the bows.

The side borders were done with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch. On the photo mats, we used the Pinking Hearts Corner Punch on the Real Red CS and then layered onto Very Vanilla CS. Then we added some hearts that were punched with Heart to Heart Punch. Again, you can't see the glitter on this page, but it's there.

I really love the New Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punches that were used on this page. I also love the New 2 Step Bird Punch. The birds were punched out of Pretty in Pink CS with the wings being punched out of the DSP. The hearts were punched with the Full Heart Punch and then run through the Big Shot with the Finial Press Textured Impressions Folder.

The top border was made using the Pinking Hearts Corner Punch. On this page, we also used the Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Daisies #2 Bigz Die and Sending Love Epoxy Brads. We also used Sprinkles stamp set to stamp the background.

You can check on my upcoming classes at my Events Page. As you can see, in my Scrapbook Classes, you do 10 pages that you can take home and just put the photos and journalling on them to finish. My class attendees love being to able do that many pages in such a short time.

January Card Class Projects

I am so glad that Stampin' Up! now carries the Big Shot and for the Texture Plates and Textured Impressions Folders. They add so much to your cards. You can take a plain piece of cardstock and make it look so elegant very quickly.

For this card we used Tea Party DSP, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Whisper White CS and the Finial Press Textured Impressions Folder. I did use the Certainly Celery Twill Tape that was in last year's SAB catalog because I wanted a wider ribbon on it that I had available. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the flowers that are stamped lightly on the tag are from Vintage Vogue, which is in the Occasion Mini Catalog.

I ended up CASEing all of these cards from ones that were shared on Sudsol, which is a site for demos to share ideas with each other. There are so many times that I feel like I have no MOJO. So I visit Sudsol to get ideas for my projects. Sometimes that is so much easier than coming up with my own. When I CASE a card, I tend to change colors and sometimes even stamps sets that I use.

For this card, rather than stamping the butterfly from Great Friend and then having to cut it out, I used the NEW Beautiful Wings Stampin' Up! Embosslits Die to make the butterflies. I love this new die. It is so cute and makes embossed butterflies so quickly.

This card is done using the Big Shot and some punches. The background texture is from the Backgrounds 1 Stampin' Up! Texturez Plates. The leaves were made with the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die. The flowers are from the Simple Flower Embosslits Die. Then I used the Trio Flower Punch for the flower centers. The final touch was to punch some Whisper White with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.

This card was so fund to make. I used our Sketch Challenge in Sudsol for last week to design this card. The background is stamped with the NEW Vintage Vogue stamp set. The edge of the tag was punched with Pinking Hearts Border Punch. I really love the beautiful border that this punch makes.

December's Scrap Class Pages - 3

So if you look at the first two pages I showed from this class, we made some Tulips from left over scraps from the Lattice Die. Here's where we used the Lattice that we cut out. I did the punching a little different with these pages. I started with the Pinking Hearts Corner Punch on the outside corner, then used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch to finish the outside edge of the Bella Bleu DSP. The class members love this new set of punches. For the butterfly, I used the biggest butterfly from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit layered onto the smallest butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. I really love how they layer so well.

These two pages are probably my favorite pages of the class. The flowers and leaves are made with the 5-Petal Flower Punch and scored down the center of each petal. The center of the flowers is the Trio Flower Punch and Gold Brads. The edges of the DSP are punched with the Eyelet Border Punch. And the butterflies are done the same way as they were on the previous pages.

December's Scrap Class Pages - 2

 

Well, here's the next double-page spread we made at December's Scrap Class. I think I end up using the Swirly Decorative Strip die in just about every class. I really love this die. These, as you can see, were really simple pages to put together.

These pages were also fun to put together. These pages use the NEW 2 Step Bird Punch and Pinking Hearts Border Punch. My class members also got to try out the NEW Clear Mount block and Vague Vintage Clear Mount Stamp. They fell in love with this new feature of Stampin' Up! and couldn't wait to get some themselves. I, too, love these new stamps and will definitely buy more of them.

December's Scrap Class Pages - 1

For last month's Scrap Class, my class members got to use some of the new Occasions Mini items. For this double-spread, they got to use the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and the Pinking Hearts Corner Punch.  The butterflies were done with Beautiful Wings Stamin' Up! Embosslit. I really love all the sizes of butterflies from this one embosslit, too. To bring out the details on the butterflies, we used a sanding block on them. The DSP is from Bella Bleu.

When I originally showed the page to my son, it didn't have the flowers along the bottom. He said he felt that it needed some tulips to make it look like the butterflies were flying around them. To make the tulips, we used the scrap pieces from the Lattice die and sponged one end of them, then glued them down. What a great way to use some of those scraps, too.

Christmas Cards from Card Class 2

Here's another card we made at our last Card Class. This one gave us a chance to use the Square Scallop Die. I really love the Stampin' Up! Finial Press Impressions Embossing Folder. As you can see from yesterday's entry, I used this embossing folder on two different cards.

Here's the last card from our class. The cards were stamped with White Craft Ink and then embossed with Iridescent Ice EP. Then I stamped the snowflakes with White Craft ink. The sparkle on the starts doesn't show up in the photo, but I stamped some Real Red CS with VersaMark Ink and then used a combination of Clear EP mixed with some of the red Fine Cosmo Glitter to emboss it. After embossing the CS, then I punched out the stars.

Christmas Cards from Card Class

This is one of the cards we made at our last Card Class. I guess you could call this a hybrid card because the greeting and decorative strip are printed out from My Digital Studio. I wanted to give my customers a chance to see how traditional stamping and digital can be combined.

Here is another card from our class. I really love the Eyelet Border Punch and look for any reason to use it, as you can see from both cards. I had also just gotten the Lattice Big Shot Die and was looking for a way to use it, too. So this is what I came up with. On the Poinsettia, we added some sparkle with some Dazzling Diamond Glitter, though it doesn't show up in the photo.
